Patient Rights

Medical Equality

You have the right to receive safe, equal, and quality medical care without any discrimination.

 

Medical Participation

You have the right to participate in the process and decision-making of medical care, including the right to ask questions and seek a second opinion.

 

Medical Explanation

During your treatment, the physicians in this hospital will explain to you or your accompanying family members the medical condition, major examinations, tests, treatment plans, and prognosis.

 

Privacy

You have the right to be respected and have your privacy protected during the medical process. Any information regarding your medical condition, health, and other related details will be kept confidential according to legal obligations. If you prefer not to have visitors inquire about your hospitalization information, please inform the hospital ward or nursing station.

 

Specialty Identification

All our medical staffs are required to wear identifications. You may refuse any medical services provided by those who do not have the identification.

 

Informed Consent

Physicians will explain and obtain your consent before conducting any invasive examinations, treatments, or surgeries. However, in cases of emergency, as stipulated by medical regulations, this requirement does not apply.

 

Advance Decisions

To uphold your medical autonomy, you have the right to discuss your advance care planning with the medical team in advance. This includes decisions regarding receiving palliative care during the end-of-life stage and making specific medical decisions under certain clinical conditions. In order to transform limited life into boundless compassion, you also have the option to donate your organs, tissues, or body for medical, research, or educational purposes.

 

Right to Refuse

You have the rights to refuse any medical treatments including medication, examinations, and/or operations. However, your doctor has the responsibility to inform the results of your rejection.

Patient Obligation
Please take care of your own health and safety and cherish medical resources.

 

Please follow or cooperate with healthcare professionals in implementing the medical plan. If you are unable to comply with the medical plan or have related medical questions, please inform or inquire with healthcare professionals.

 

You should proactively provide relevant information such as past medical history, current health status, medication allergies, etc.

 

You should respect others and cooperate in maintaining a peaceful environment.
